BRANDING

The Oklahoma Aquarium needed help transitioning its overall brand to focus on its newest exhibit: Sea Turtle Island. With a renewed focus on sea turtles, a brighter color palette, and a more modern design, the Oklahoma Aquarium is positioned to attract tourists and local visitors for years to come.

DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT

The Aquarium’s WordPress website was outdated, so along with the new brand look we delivered a new website design that was fresh and easy to navigate. On the back-end, we focused on ease of use to ensure that Aquarium staff could keep the site current.

PRINTED MATERIALS

The new brand look needed to extend into traditional tourism collateral, such as brochures and rack cards, as well as their event planning guide and other support materials.

ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION

We were asked to blend the new, graphic brand look with the overall look of existing exhibit signage. AcrobatAnt created custom illustrations for internal lobby banners.

EVENT MARKETING

As an organization that relies on community support and admission fees to operate, the Aquarium holds fundraisers each year. We developed the branding for Splash Lagers & Loggerheads beer tasting, as well as developed the theme, shirt design and medals for the annual run.

DIMENSIONAL DESIGN

We loved designing the boardwalk signage within the new Sea Turtle Island exhibit, which recognizes donors and city leaders while staying true to the island room décor. From design to install, it was fun to be part of an exhibit that will be a part of the community for years to come.

“Working with AcrobatAnt wasn’t really work. It was more of an enjoyable, creative experience and very often, a lot of fun! Under the pressure of tight deadlines and last minute changes, the staff never promised miracles, but never said no. That positive approach set realistic expectations, but it also led to a miracle or two.”
