Location: Tulsa, OK (Hybrid/Remote Considered) | Reports to: Creative Director
At AcrobatAnt, we believe every word should work as hard as the strategy behind it. We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, conceptually strong Copywriter/Proofer who can not only write clear, compelling copy—but also ensure that everything we publish meets our rigorous quality standards.
This dual-role position blends creative storytelling with an editorial mindset. You’ll concept and write original content across a variety of platforms while also reviewing and refining internal and client-facing materials for grammar, consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment.
What You’ll Do
Creative Writing & Content Development
- Write engaging, brand-aligned copy for digital, print, video, and social media.
- Craft persuasive headlines, taglines, campaign messaging, and calls to action.
- Contribute to content calendars, blogs, ad copy, and short-form storytelling.
- Collaborate with designers and strategists to develop integrated creative solutions.
- Assist in brand voice development and contribute to brand naming/tagline ideation.
Proofing & Editing
- Proofread all copy for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and brand consistency across multiple client accounts.
- Edit copy written by other team members or freelancers for tone, clarity, and adherence to guidelines.
- Ensure that all messaging is legally sound, free of factual errors, and formatted according to client brand standards and style guides (including AP Style).
- Confirm accuracy of hyperlinks, data points, and client-provided content across print and digital deliverables.
- Review photo/illustration captions, video scripts, and other visual content for accuracy and alignment with messaging.
Quality Control & Collaboration
- Be the final editorial checkpoint for all outgoing content and creative assets.
- Communicate directly with writers, designers, and account teams to resolve inconsistencies or clarify intent.
- Maintain style sheets, client-specific preferences, and internal proofreading checklists.
- Participate in internal reviews to ensure consistency across campaigns.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a copywriting, editing, or agency setting.
- Strong writing portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and versatile tone.
- Exceptional proofreading and editing skills, with mastery of grammar and style (AP Style familiarity required).
- High attention to detail and ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and familiarity with content or project management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience editing web content, long-form articles, and branded social copy.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and writing for digital platforms.
- Experience using proofing tools or markup software.
- Prior exposure to client brand style guides and multi-channel campaigns.
