Ant Q&A: Troy Minaldi

Rockin’ it in the Advertising World: Get to Know AcrobatAnt’s Account Director Troy Minaldi

Meet new AcrobatAnt Account Director Troy Minaldi. Having spent most of his marketing career on the client side, the native of Frisco, Texas, brings invaluable insight to his role. And with his years of experience playing classic rock, Troy understands the value of taking requests.

How has previous career and/or academic experience prepared you for your work here?

I have spent almost 30 years in marketing roles, mostly on the client side, where I was always fortunate to have great agency relationships. So, I understand how important fostering those relationships and maintaining that trust level between agency and client is to producing great work.

Why did you get into this wacky business?

I have always been interested in the creative development side of marketing and enjoyed the production process in almost every channel. It helps me exercise that particular creative muscle.

What activities do you pursue outside of the agency?

I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, who also works in the agency business. My other big passion is music. I am in a classic rock cover band, and I play, collect, and build guitars.

What would you be doing if you weren’t in the advertising world?

If I could figure out a way to make enough money to pay my bills, I’d probably own a bar/guitar repair shop combo!
